What CBT involves

Most learner motorcycle and moped riders must take compulsory basic training (CBT) before riding on the road. You then have 2 years to pass your full motorcycle test or you’ll have to take CBT again.

Compulsory basic training (CBT) has 5 elements:

Element A: Covering the basics, such as the importance of motorcycle clothing.
Element B: Learning the Controls of the Motorcycle
Element C: Practical on-site Riding in our DVSA approved facility
Element D: Checking the students understanding of the Highway Code
Element E: 2 Hour Practical on-road Ride with the Instructor
